Meet Our Team

Dr. Matt Bynum graduated from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1995.  He maintains a private practice in Simpsonville, SC, with emphasis on Aesthetic, restorative, physiologic and implant dentistry.  He is the co-author of the acclaimed book “The Boomerang Effect”. He serves as consultant to several dental manufacturers and laboratories, but most importantly he is a husband, a father of three very active and athletic boys, a baseball coach, a leader, and a man who would prefer to be called “dad” or “coach” before being called “doctor”.  Dr. Bynum is an educator, a mentor and an international lecturer, speaking on topics of restorative dentistry, practice success and development, goal setting, motivation and helping everyone become the very best version of themselves possible.  He is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the South Carolina Dental Association (SCDA), the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics (ICCMO), and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).

How long have you worked at Bynum Aesthetic Dentistry?  I have been a team member since Spring of 2011.

What are your responsibilities? Dental Assistant/Clinical Liaison.

What is most important to you?  My team role at Bynum Aesthetic Dentistry is important to me in all aspects. I want our team to be successful in all that we can be.

What are your personal interests? I graduated from Greenville Technical College in June of 2011, to be a CDA. I love the time with my wonderful husband, Adam, and our life adventures with our precious baby boy, Wyatt. I live at home with my wonderful mother, sweet puppy Brantley and fat cat, Bo. We attend Simpsonville First Baptist West Campus.

What motivates you?  Life motivates me! I love seeing people smile, when I see them smile it motivates me to keep being the best person I can be.

Do you have unique facts about yourself?  I love to sing, but I can’t carry a tune! I love football! I am a Carolina girl at heart, but an Alabama fan by choice!

What is your personal motto?  Love the life you live, live the life you love.

What are your responsibilities? Front desk, schedule appointments, office duties.

What is most important to you?  My husband, my dogs, and the rest of our family.

What are your personal interests?  Target shooting, gardening, traveling.

What motivates you?  Helping others.

Do you have unique facts about yourself?  My husband and I are from Cincinnati, OH. We have four Chihuahuas, Pecko, Nina, Hugo, & Lola. I love to cut grass!

What is your personal motto?   Everything’s going to be alright!

What is most important to you?   I am a team player and find it very important to keep a positive attitude with each of my team members and patients.

What are your personal interests?  My husband, Gavin, and I are the proud parents of William and Evelyn. They bring us so much joy and put a whole new prospective on living life to the fullest.

What motivates you? When I feel appreciated, is when I am the most motivated to succeed.

Do you have unique facts about yourself?  I love to shop, mainly for other people. I enjoy finding that perfect gift!

What is your personal motto?   I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. — Apostle Paul.

OK — What Makes You Smile? It is in my genes, my dad always has a smile on his face! SMILES ARE CONTAGIOUS!!

How long have you worked at Bynum Aesthetic Dentistry?  I joined the team at the end of August 2016.

What are your responsibilities?  Part of the font office team.  Making every patient feel welcomed!

What is most important to you? Spending time with my husband, my two dogs Leia and Boba (Yes, they are named after Star Wars), and friends and family. Our family has grown by one! Porter, our daughter, arrived in May 2017 and we’ve enjoyed adding her to our family and watching her grow!

What are your personal interests? I have always played tennis since a very young age. I love volunteering throughout the Greenville community. I enjoy traveling to new places and my favorite places. I love cheering on my Clemson Tigers on Saturdays and Carolina Panthers on Sundays! I can always be found enjoying a glass of wine (or two) with friends!

What motivates you? Knowing there is always someone in need and that we always have the chance to meet and touch each other’s lives.

Do you have unique facts about yourself? Avid TV series watcher. Alabama fan by birth, Clemson fan by degree, and Carolina Panther’s fan by choice!

What is your personal motto?  From one of my most favorite musicals, Wicked: “Because I knew you, I have been changed for good.”

What are your responsibilities?  Periodontal Therapist/ Dental Hygienist.

What is most important to you?   The satisfaction and bond that is built with the patients and team!

What are your personal interests? My wonderful family and great friends! My little family includes my husband, Justin, our beautiful daughter, Ania Marie, and our handsome son Josiah Eric!!

What motivates you? staying positive and being optimistic and seeing our patients happy!

Do you have unique facts about yourself?   I am the only person in my family born in the south!

What is your personal motto?  depends upon ourselves—Aristotle.
